Here are my Priddys. Doesn't look like I have any of the print defects Al mentioned. I'm not surprised the one available on eBay has been available for a while. $500 is a lot to pay for a little extra blue and red ink.

My Priddy. I hate that I seem to be a year too late to the 1952 set building party. With these prices its hard to find any affordable options to buy. Kicking myself for passing on a number of PSA 2 Mays cards in December when I thought 2300 was too much.

Possible Irv, but believe that seller to be legitimate, albeit one who highly values his cards . You can find most of the variants he lists yourself on eBay , COMC or Deans if you look over time. If they turn out to be non recurring then I lose interest, and that variant is not listed in the H&S super set.

However, defects like the Campos black star or missing front border can be recurring but pretty scarce

Mel is on the Super Checklist. His black back can be found with and without a red streak in the brim of his cap. Jay and Dave each posted one above. These are both BBs

When I click on the link that Al posted, Norton gives me a warning that it is a known dangerous web page that I shouldn't go to. Is there really anything wrong with it?

When I click on it I get the article, which is from Bob Lemke's old blog. A great hobby resource. Been using it and Dave Hornish's Topps Archives blog for a lot of Topps and other sports cards info for years.

Bob was the long time editor of the Sports Collectors Digest Standard Catalog Of Baseball Cards

I know that is who you said it was from so I'm not sure why Norton considers it a dangerous site to visit. Maybe because it is a blog or because it is not a secure site. I'm not really sure how Norton decides what sites are dangerous.

Also, zernial was a good looking guy. After his acting gig, he introduced a young woman to Joe DiMaggio. That's right, it was marilyn monroe

Just got my copy of the 1952 Topps Collection book today. Looks cool, but it's organized differently than I expected since it's not in numerical order.

I agree, it is organized a bit out of the ordinary. That said, I find it very interesting and a pretty cool resource.

In the picture you posted, the upper left corner looks ok to me. Either way, it's still probably better than all 8 corners on both of my Robinsons.

The toploader flattens it out. Makes it looks better in the pic than it really is.
