Default Open for Bidding - Love of the Game Auctions' "Extra Innings" T206 Near Set Break

Hi Everyone:

Hope all is well, and that everyone is enjoying the spring/summer.

Just writing to let you all know about a new auction that we have launched today. We're calling it an "Extra Innings" auction, since it's a special auction that's separate from our Premier Auctions.

This one is a card-by-card breakup of a nearly-complete T206 set. The set was assembled over the period of around a decade by a now-retired Long Island police officer, using funds put aside from his overtime pay, primarily finding the cards at NYC-area card shows.

There are some really great cards in the set, including a Piedmont Factory 42 Red Cobb, a Uzit Cigarettes Crawford, a really nice Green Cobb, and more. There's a nice assortment of backs, and most of the Hall of Famers are really clean.

For this auction, we've reduced our buyer's premium to just 15% (18% if you pay with PayPal). The auction closes June 26.

This is our first sale on a new auction platform with a brand new website, logo, and look, so please have a look around. Before you bid, you'll need to change your password and update your address (if necessary); the system will guide you through the steps to do that. I hope you like what you see.

If you're so inclined, you can access the auction here: https://bid.loveofthegameauctions.com/Lots/Gallery

Thanks, and good luck!

-Al

Great idea for a unique auction,Al!! I feel like a kid in a candy store! The poignant story of the retired police officer as COLLECTOR is LOTG at its best.
Many thanks for your top shelf efforts over these nearly 10 years of LOTG. all the best, ole buddy Barry
