Sorry, the Jeter is certainly not authentic.

That stinks. Been showing it off on my walls for years. At least it was a gift and not something I put my hard earned money out for.

We've all been there. I had a fake Mantle in my son's room for 3 years. Embarassing. When I learned I took it right down.

You want to replace it with an image of a real Jeter signature?

I can send you a high res scan of a real Jeter signed 8x10. Make an 8x10 photo print at Walmart and replace the fake. Under glass no one will know it is a photo reproduction.

Or you can spend $500 and get one from Steiner.

Or you can spend $xxx and buy another fake one on many websites and many auction sites.
I am virtually certain there are more bad Jeter autographs on the web than real ones.

For a modern player like Jeter I've gotten to the point where I either get it myself or I get a mfg-certified signed card [yes, I know they aren't foolproof either].

And let us not forget the dealers who also can say "I get deceased ball players myself."
Some of them have a conduit straight to the graveyard.
