Default T206 coloring differences - idea why

Posted By: steve

It appears all T206's are not inked the same, yes?

On the same card I notice one extreme with a bright vivid dripping wet picture, and other extreme a lighter colored almost washed out look.

Is this difference due to factory manufacturing? or other? All other aspects equal, the bold colored card would normally fetch a better price, but is there any scarcity factor with the lighter colored cards?

There is a premium for cards that are the wrong color due to one of the colors missing from the four step process. But if a card that normally has a dark blue background has a faded one, there wouldn't be any premium.
