There are still deals to be had out there in eBay land. But I did have to threaten Ted so he wouldn't bid on it to protect his investment |

My first post here (though I have been lurking for some time) and a purchase I made this month but it just went up on SGC's registry today. Also, not sure how to go about posting images here, so if it is okay, I'll just link to the registry. |

David, I'm pretty sure you are off by one number. Should be w754. You working on the set? I still need 6 more for my player set adn sadly, of the 26 currently on eBay, not a single one is one I need The guy's asking price is insane. Iv'e been picking them up for less than opening bis and his $50 BIN is a total joke. |

Jay -- You are right. My dyslexia has reared its ugly head once again. It is W753 for the Browns. I have the 3 HOF'ers (Mize, Slaughter and Rickey) from the W754 Cards Team Issue set. I sold almost a complete set of them, individually. I know that Jay Wolt (Quality Cards) and Joe Yanello (Shoeless Joe's - www.joesvintagesportscards.com) bought a bunch of them and may still have some left. |

Is it just me or is there a better solution for this type of thread? This isn't ment to be critical at all...i love looking at all this stuff, but my point is this: if we have yet to reach October 1, isn't it odd that there are already 30 plus posts in the Oct 05 pick ups? |

did all the Harvard photos from that time period. Have had individual (uniformed) players and team cabinets from that period with the same type of mount. Always scared of ununiformed unsureabout players but hopefully you didn't pay an arm ang leg for it, so I would imagine it's legit........ |

I hope Leon and other board members don't mind me bumping this to the top (ahead of 1st October Pickups), but I need to give John props for showing how collectable OJs can be. Just look at how many copies of the same pose John has accumulated. It all comes down to perseverance. Granted, not all players/poses were created equally, but a majority of the issue is very collectable. You just have to hang in there and the card(s) you desire will show up. |

The London versions are definitely harder to find but that could partly be because team collectors have only 2 choices when it comes to a London card, and Pettee(the other London player) is pretty tough to find.It took me well over a year to find one for him and the only other London Pettee ive seen was way overpriced but sold anyway. |
