1968 was a good year for cards, although somewhat expensive. There were four Topps versions. There were also two versions of each checklist (although I'm not sure about the Venezuelan). I just got back four other checklists back from PSA (not scanned), but they were all MISLABELED. Looks like someone's quality control was a little off. I am waiting for a response back from PSA. There is also my only BVG graded card - a checklist proof from Topps Archives. The last scan is of the backs of the four regular 1968 Aaron's - OPC, Topps, Milton Bradley, and Venezuelan.

More variations in 1969. There is another version of the 1969 Photostamp with a different back that I don't have. The difference on the checklists is in the cropping of the player; the one on the right shows a small part of his collar, the one on the left does not. There are also two versions of the Nabisco Team Flakes and two sizes of the Kahn's.

This collection really shows how non-mainstream cards liven up a collection. I'd say my favorites of the whole run are the spic and spans, Johnston cookies, home run derby, Atlantic/transograms, and nabisco

Truthfully, whichever is having the best sale that month. My son knows that he is going to inherit them, but he doesn't have a lot of interest in them yet. I'm mainly getting them slabbed for him; if he does decide to sell them in the future, at least he will know what they are and a rough idea of value.

Funny how this aspect, originating in Milwaukee, didn't dawn on me until you mentioned it. Shows you how sharp I am. Definitely adds a cool dynamic to the card.

What a tremendous collection! My favorite is the 64 Topps Venezuelan 63 HR Leaders. 4 HOFers on any vintage card is awesome, but when it's a Venie? Unreal!!
