Why does the price go up for a signature on a larger item? That makes no sense to me.

FYI, current Global certs are worth about as much as ones from my Uncle Joe. Most collectors I know look at an item with a Global COA and think "I guess it didn't pass JSA or PSA."

I'm guessing its based on the assumption that a larger item will sell for more on ebay once its signed.

What business is that of the promoter or athlete? Is it a strain to autograph a regulation size helmet compared to a mini-helmet?

Seems to me like it's more of the same mentality that leads to higher prices for third-party-authenticating of certain players' signatures. The work is not necessarily harder, but for better or worse, they base the fee on the value of the final product. So it's more like a value-added fee than a fee-for-services?

Polite corrections for unidentified and misidentified photos appreciated. Rude corrections also appreciated, but less so.

Well, its the same mentality that justifies players salaries...they deserve a share of what the owners make, as the fans don't go to games to see the owners...they come for the players.

Its a pretty cynical system, I'd say...I wish I got a "collectors discount", since I never sell the stuff I gather.
