They wouldn't put a "460" series designator on my Broadleaf, or a "Factory 42" designator on my Piedmont. They said that unless it's listed in "the price guide" as a variation, they won't do it. When I asked what price guide they used, they said Beckett! I also noticed that they participate in "The Pit".

"...Hey, who do you have to sleep with around here to get service? Geez!!..." (TIC humor)

Still, $7 a card, no matter what the value, is a heck of a deal.

Not sure whom you would need to sleep with but I have a girl in the office here that is recently divorced and hard up. SO..... I am sure SGC does not ONLY use Beckett though. When I was at the Nationals last year the first book they pulled out when they saw my 19th Century stuff was the big SCD..... and as far as noting the different types of subsets I believe you are correct. As long as there is one listed somewhere, in a separate place in a guide, they will probably do it for you. I sent in the M101 Cobb with Morehouse Baking on the back and they sent is back as a "Morehouse Baking" card....and it is in the catalogues as such.....regards

They "did" my factory 42 the same way. At least they're consistent, if not overly educated.

Since getting my first one a few months ago, I've seen two more on e-bay (I had never seen one before on ebay), and heard from other collectors who recognize it's a tough back. I know the multiplier is supposedly 6x, but I think it's much more difficult - I would guess 20x or 30x, at least. Any thoughts?

But there are only so many collectors willing to pay the multiple for a card that only has a different factory number on the back, when everything else is the same -- thus the multiple paid on these cards is typically 3x - 7x.

There are still many times that collectors will purchase T-206's off of Ebay or at shows where the dealer does not recognize the scarcity of the issue.
