Default good read

thanks Pete. Of note was the second time I've ever seen someone use "ham-fisted" in a sentence - the first was in a thread earlier in the week. Amazing.....

Default Great historical context!

Today BB players are so Zen and even-keeled (or just empty-headed) that it's fascinating to read that both participants in the brawl were dealing with potentially life-or-death political stuff at that very moment. Makes me appreciate the (relatively) calmer times we're living in (despite the extreme rhetoric of some)-

Hands down, this one certainly takes the all time cake. But my personal fav was the Dick Williams Pads vs the Joe Torre Braves from '84. Mostly a beanball war, with no bats involved and with the late, gutless Pascual Perez high-balling it to the Braves dugout with Graig Nettles and Champ Summers in pursuit and Ed Whitson doing his own retaliatory head-hunting. Made for great viewing.

Thanks for posting the link...very interesting article...reminds us how easy it is to let difficult issues in one part of our lives effect our actions in other parts.

A good read and a good lesson!
