Default Sports Pix

I'm new to the board, looking for solid info on the 1960's baseball Sports Pix out of Washington, DC. I bought an envelope recently containing an original order form, and about 10 photos (Mantle, Maris, Ruth, DiMaggio (lightly signed in pencil), Koufax, Mays, and others. The photos are printed/copied onto light paper stock, not the heavy paper stock that most 8x10's are printed on. The envelope is from the 1960's so it doesn't look like the photos were recently photocopied.
I'm not looking to sell, but to gain knowledge.
How do I know if I have the larger or smaller versions?
Are these valuable?
Should I send any of them to PSA to be graded?
If you want to send me a private message with your email address, I'll find a way to email you photos of the order form that was also in the package and a list of the photos I have.
Again, not looking to sell or trade at this time. Thanks for any help provided.

They sound right. Thin stock for sure.

Not crazy valuable. The big names might be worth low to maaaaybe mid 3 figures on a good day in really good condition.

The only way it would make sense to grade is if they grade at the top of the pop charts for PSA. Then the cost to grade might be worth it.

Part of the fun is that they’re expensive to grade. Plus they’re not a lot more valuable when graded v raw. Part of the fun is also that the graders are hard on these. They’re so thin, so large, and susceptible to even minor wear and damage along the edges and with all of that real estate that they very rarely grade above a 5. And most of the time even really nice copies land at 3 or 4.

I only collect the Mantles, but here is what I know based on them.

8 X 10s are the smaller size. There are two larger sizes an 8 X 10-1/2 and an 8-1/2 X 11.

I have two different 8 X10s. On one the address is P.O. Box 2553, the other has a street address, 6500 Westland Drive.

Does anyone know if any version of the Joe DiMaggio Sports Pix photos is signed? Mine is lightly signed, maybe in pencil. But, I have tried to see if I could see any signature lines on the back of the photo, but I can't see any indentation of the signature. If it's really signed by DiMaggio, I may send to PSA.

I appreciate the responses so far, but I'll take any other advice about these from anyone on the board. Thanks.

It is photocopied... Source: my own copy, which looks deceivingly 'legit' upon quick glance, but is, in fact, just a photocopied signature from the original source

I took my best shot at a checklist for Trading Card Database, and it’s been gratifying to see that some collectors have uploaded images to go with the checklist.

I have no doubt that my checklist is missing some pics in that I built it based on current and sold eBay listings and some order forms/ads from the Sporting News.

Note that TCDB went with single year (1960) but these are more correctly regarded as 1960s (multiyear).
