Default Really sorry to hear this

Wrote a letter to him in 1973 and got a really nice letter back. Move forward almost 35 years, wrote another letter and got another beautiful letter back from the gentleman. He was always my mom's favorite player and she passed that on to me, even though he had retired before my birth.

RIP Joe.

I had the privilege of meeting & conversing with joe g. on several occasions.
he was not only a gentleman, he was a great guy and a passionate t206 collector!
thank you, joe garagiola for being such a wonderful ambassador for both the game and the hobby.
you will be missed.
