From Bid McPhee, Candy Cummings, Bobby Wallace to Vic Willis. Prewar players who have slipped between the cracks, so to speak, and whose exploits are not nearly as well known as other HOFers. Terrific read.

In yesterday's (Sunday's) Wisconsin State Journal paper there was a very large write up on Kid Nichols. He was born in Madison before moving to KC. It too referenced this book as an excellent read. Definitely on the list of books to get soon for me!

Here is the article.
