Default Statistical Oddity:

This afternoon, in the sixth inning, the Braves' shortstop Dansby Swanson hit his 10th home run of the year ; Second Baseman Ozzie Albies hit his 16th double of the season in the seventh inning.

In doing so, each reached 500 career hits.

This may well be the first time a keystone duo who have played for only the one team have reached such a milestone in the same game.

Pretty Cool!

Default In 1919 a complete game of note

Ray Caldwell pitching in the ninth inning was struck by lightning and was unconscious for five minutes.

Then he got up and finished the game getting the 27th out on a ground ball.

An electrifying performance by any standard

He was also a roommate of Babe Ruth briefly.

I saw that on FB...amazing.

I guess that technically, it was Babe's suitcase he was roomies with...since that seems to be the norm...and, no, I don't mean Miller.
