Jack Quinn Exhibit Question
Posted By: Jim F
I recently picked up a white border Jack Quinn, Boston AL. exhibit card. My question is, I can only find these white bordered exhibits listed as 1921, but if I am correct, Quinn joined Boston in 1922. Are there white bordered exhibits for 1922 also? I can scan the card if it helps. Thanks, Jim. |

Jack Quinn Exhibit Question

The Exhibits produced between 1921-1924 all had pretty much the same format. Many players could be found with a border while other players were produced borderless. These cards are generally broken down into 3 different "sets"...1921, 1922, and 1923-24. With scarcity pretty much in that order as well (with 1921's being the most common by quite a bit). |

Adam, the 1922's also only say "A.L." (only the 1921's have the designation as "Am. L.") |

Jack Quinn Exhibit Question

the 1922s don't repeat the 1921 images and they have a different style of writing of the player's name (fine line versus a more ornate line). If the card is of a player with a 1921 card and also a 1923/4 card using the same image, the league thing is a surefire way to differentiate them. |

or is it two examples: Robert Veach, 1921 (Am.L.) and 1923-24 (A.L.). Note also how they cropped the image and removed background details, which was not always the case with the reused images. |
