I was getting tired of watching this card go up and up and up while still not owning one. I knew I'd be priced out of the market very soon, so I picked up this nice looking, lower grade example. Very clean with decent centering for the issue.

Great additions this month so far. Really like the Gehrig and Jarrod man am I jealous, the "39" Williams Play Ball is fast becoming a dream card for me. As you mentioned, get it now but for me it might be too late. Enjoy your latest pickups gentlemen and keep them coming !

Thanks, Jeff. Yeah, I'm really happy with it. I haven't felt that good crossing a card off a checklist in a long time!

Recent pickup from REA. I'm all about vivid colors, and this card just wowed me. It looks even better in person.

Saturday at our local show I see a single T206 (card on left) in the bottom of the dealers glass case, and I asked to see it. Lew Ritter catcher Kansas City Blues, and dealer say twenty five dollars. When I point out the inked in catchers gear new price ten dollars and I swoop in for the purchase. Some artistic talent right there!

Pittsburg Pirates real photo postcard sent from spring training in Hot Springs, AR. The year is not legible in the postmark, but the one graded example I could find (SGC) says 1910.

I like the artwork on the mask on this one. Maybe the 'artist' wanted Lew to break into the exclusive Fred Snodgrass and Mike Powers T206 mask club.

Be careful about sharing where you live. You might have many of us moving in and never leaving.
Very nice set up and those Fenway seats are very cool and go perfect with the space

Couple of random pickups for me. Finally decided to sell off some 80’s RC’s and had to get a little something to fill the void.

This came in the mail today. Another step closer to completing my '33 Goudey set! #230 is one of best of the set for my money. I wanted a nice one, but kept coming up short, until now. I never thought I'd end up with a 2, but I'm quite happy with this card. The colors are strong. This is easily one of the nicest 2's in my collection.

I saw this as a raw card on eBay and recognized that it looked like the lone legit example in the sea of fake/reprint ungraded Ruths. The seller had some other Goudey commons for sale, and after talking to him I felt good about it. Turned out, he'd owned it for 30+ years and when he mailed it to me, it was wrapped like a present. What a nice guy.

Sent it to PSA and it got the grade it deserves. Just arrived back in-hand last night. It's no beauty queen, but still quite presentable for a 1.

Been lurking here for 12 years (!) and finally have a pick up to share, found "in the wild' at an estate sale. Not the prettiest but it's a nice back.

I would be proud to have this card in my collection. Great detective work, the sea of fake Goudey Ruths on ebay is not for the feint of heart.
Congratulations!

Jim- always cool to see a card I once owned (W574 Grove) showing up again on Net54...guess that's one advantage to having them graded.

Cool group of additions...congrats!

Nice Josh. Was it sold as a Murr'y or did you notice it was the variation and pick it up at a Murray price?

Big month for my PC. Traded for the Gehrig with a member here (thanks Jay!), and finally added a CJ card.

Just got these two in the mail today. The Dahlen is an upgrade (my other one, a green one, has terrible paper loss due to the paper chipping off) and the McGraw makes number 13 for me so far in the set.

Thank you so much for the help Phil!!!

Default Claude Berry Cabinets

Many thanks to Ed S. for these awesome Claude Berry cabinets.

I now have reunited 4 cabinets that originated from Claude Berry's estate.

Tougher combo than most would think, only 2 in the pop report and 3 listed
sales in the past 12 years. There was no back scan but I took a gamble
because with this print flaw there was a high % it was a factory 25.
