Default Nostalgia hit

Hey y’all,
I’m getting together with some childhood friends in October. I was thinking it would be fun to open some 80s and 90s packs. I don’t want to spend a lot of money since the guys aren’t really collectors anymore. I know it is a weird ask, but if any of y’all could put a nostalgia collection together for me for around $20 or so, that would be great. I’m looking for 80s baseball and football packs, early 90s basketball and hockey packs. You can post ideas here or PM me. Thanks!

https://www.bbcexchange.com/

the site above will give you an idea on wax pack prices. $20 won't get you very far, you will prob have to look on ebay for a dozen or so wax pack assortment from the 80s, good luck, hope you have fun with it!

eBay has plenty of wax pack lots that are typically available for pretty cheap. I would suggest checking that out if you can't find someone to buy from here.

Thanks for the advice. I'll check ebay. The '87 Donruss box is tempting. I loved collecting that set when I was a kid. I'll think about it.

I'm going to pass on the 87 Donruss. I am checking on a few local places to maybe save on shipping.

I actually just opened a box of 87 donruss for nostalgia. It was a lot of fun. Quite a few rookies in the set. I'm interested in a price on the 87 topps box if the OP doesn't want it.

87 topps box is top on my list of what I am looking for. That, and sportsflics, or those donruss pop-ups.

How much for the 87 Topps box?

Yeah, that set was loaded with rookies. My aunt used to get me the rack packs. it was awesome opening all those cards at once. My early childhood memories of cards (before I got into it as a serious hobby) were 84 fleers, 85 topps and the USA cards, and the 87 wood border topps and the donruss. The summer of 87 is when I started to get into it with the Becketts and all that.
