I have recently obtained all the Topps Tiffany sets and traded sets. Opinions on value of these sets? Popularity? Thanks.

The 85', 86' Traded, 89' Traded' and 91' should each go for around $100 I think. I believe there were around 5000 sets made of each. The 86' Traded had Bonds' best rookie in it so that's probably your best set.

Some 7-10 Years back the 86 Traded Tiff set was all the rage(Bonds RC), and 12-16 years ago the 85 Regular Tiffany set was the set to have due to its star and HOfer RCs. The 85 set (sealed) still pulls $500 a set...still the most valuable of the Tiffany sets. The 86 Trd set is still a $300+ set sealed. The 84 regular Tiff set sealed has recently sold for $400 +/-.

IMO, there is much more value is in these Tiffany sets if they are still factory sealed versus unsealed.

As far as singles, star cards that are higher end graded cards pull obvious premiums over their non-Tiffany counterparts. For whatever reason, Tiffany commons are not worth much more than what their non-Tiffany counterparts are worth despite their low print runs. I am hoping this changes as I have 4-5 near sets from each year (missing most star/RC cards).

As far as popularity, they appear to be popular when they are still factory sealed sets, and the star and HOFer player/registry collectors appear to find the Tiffany's popular.

I think the Tiffany sets from the years I love (84-86) are gorgeous. Hardcore player collectors really dig them for the gloss and cool backs. I've been dying to find 86 Tiffany Mattingly centered forever. Cool run.

Interesting that the official name does not include Tiffany. It is a nickname.

I also did the 84-91 run, and also the 2000-2002 sets

I have the set run as well from 1984-1991. If the sets are sealed and the boxes are in decent condition, you are looking at about $2000 in value. I They were not massively produced. Most were limited to 5,000 sets.

I have no idea what the runs were, but assuming the source of the info is Topps, I would not bank on it.

That is true. I believe they were caught red handed fabricating the print run of the 1996 Finest Gold Refractor set.
