I have always written that it is easier to sell forgeries on Ebay than authentic autographs.

Years ago a seller was selling an autographed 1991 Impel Olympics card of a medalist that had died in the mid 1980's. I notified eBay and advised them that this was impossible and they did nothing. So this kind of stuff doesn't surprise me at all.

I've tried to tell sellers in the past on Ebay that some of the McCarthy PC's they say are signed are facsimile signatures and they still call them authentic because they know more than you.
