Default Information on T206 card back brands

CRT Sportscards posted a video on youtube about how he had his entire arm tattooed with Polar Bear T206 cards (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EsrwOEq3b0). That got me wondering about the Polar Bear brand. So I started going down the rabbit hole of google trying to learn about the brand, historic pictures of the packing facility in Middletown, OH, etc, etc. That then made me wonder about the other brands - Piedmont, Cycle, Hindu, Uzit, etc. Is there post on here, a website, a book, or something that dives into the 15/16 brands that are printed on the backs of the T206s? Would be interested in learning more about those companies. Thanks! Brian

I'm sure others will chime in with great info and links, but I'd recommend doing some searches here using the search tool, with some attention being paid to many of the informative threads started by Ted Z., who sadly passed away recently. Pat R has also done some excellent research on the set and started multiple threads (just to name a couple members, but many experts add info to those topics).

This is also a good start when learning about the set and ad backs, Scot Reader's "Inside T206", which has been saved in pdf format and kindly provided on the oldcardboard website:

Default Polar Bear factory, Middletown, Ohio

I have a few vintage 1909-era postcards that show the Polar Bear tobacco factory located in Middletown, Ohio. Home of the Polar Bear!
