89 upper deck reprints.

how can you tell if an 89 UD us a reprint. there are sometimes reprints listed on Ebay, but they look exactly the same as the real cards. for example, check out the link to the murphy below....

Looking at the one you linked, print quality is lower (more pixellated around the neck/arm) and the paper stock is probably off. Looks like a darker copy rather than a photo to me. Doesn't have that glossy Upper Deck card look.
Looks like they may have harvested some of the Upper Deck holograms from other cards to put at the bottom of the back.

Yes, but it will be a limited printing. They won't print an infinite number of the cards.

Exactly.... They list this one as a reprint. and, there are plenty of Griffey's listed a reprints also.. they look exactly the same as the real cards.

I have a few "custom" 89UD including 2 from one of the best custom guys and in hand they are easy to tell from real, well unless you are a PSA grader.
