A 52 Topps high number pack would probably run you 40K to 50K now.

Yea I won't be breaking one any time soon. But it would be fun. Unless you paid 50k for 5 Commons worth 100 bucks each. Yikes.

I actually know of a collector who broke several boxes of 51 Bowman baseball in the last 20 years to make a complete set--the key cards which he has graded are in PSA 9s. I forget exactly how he obtained the boxes but he is still in possession of 2 52 Topps high number boxes.

That's awesome. You should encourage him to share a photo on net54. I'd love to see a picture of an unopened 52 Topps box.

I would love to see those boxes, probably 5-6 Mantles in there. That's one flush friend!

+ 3 or so. I am not a box guy. How do you tell a high number box from other boxes ? I think someone has been trying to sell a high number empty case. I don't know how to distinguish cases either

I think I bought my 52 pack when someone broke a box sometime back.

If you had two such boxes and decided to cash out would you sell the packs individually and then the empty box, or each box full, or both boxes together full.

On the high numbers packs the green has been replaced by blue.

Net54 version of the Twilight Zone. We start opening the packs and they all turn out to be 1988's.......
