Default Need Johnny Unitas Topps card info

Hi
Just got in this Topps original art to a Johnny Unitas card back. Does anyone know the year of the card? Also a scan of the card would be great. First correct answer gets credit in the next catalogue (I know big whoop). Looks like the artwork of Jack Davis by the way, or one of the other MAD artists. Sometimes they all merge in my memory.

Thanks
Josh Evans

Default courtesy move

Since Josh is a good supporter of Net54baseball I took the liberty of moving this to the main forum. I appreciate him putting it in the correct one to start with. Hopefully someone will know the answer. I don't .

Hi Josh -

This is the artwork to the back of Johnny U's 1961 Topps card - It's a coin rub image, so you will need to get a scan of the card that has been nicely rubbed! I think it might be Jack Davis as well, from the look of the arms and other details.

For comparison purposes, this is my favorite Johnny U Jack Davis (I think!) drawing - a bit more in comic style, from the 1966 Topps set. Someone must not have explained that Topps only had the rights to the AFL that year! This ended up being the back of Len Dawson's card. Strange.

Default Unitas should unite us all

Thank so much for all your help
Imagine how many phone calls I would have had to make twenty years ago.
