Default Dizzy Dean Dazzler

Any one know any history on the item? I have only seen one other and I can not find out any information on it or Dorthe Toy Company who made it.

Not much out there for info. The only reference for the company shows a date of 1935. Likely a very short lived business.

It’s cool, though. I’m assuming you hang it and try to throw something into the holes?

Yes. There is a wooden stick attached to the sphere with a slight split on the end and I believe the idea was to play a nine inning game.

Fun piece. I've never seen one. I love oddball stuff like this. I'm guessing it was played similar to Balero. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=piDnVhFrZl8

Tough to tell from the photos... cool piece... Thanks!

OK…..so you poke the stick into the holes. Makes sense. Back in the day, huh? Now, the kids (and adults) have the damn Xbox.

I would think this would be a good game for a couple of spitball competitors . . . you know, like back in the day when kids used those cafeteria straw to spit portions of the paper wrapper at each other.
