Default Babe Ruth auto ball in auction

Anyone else want to opine on this? Ruth is the only autograph that I know and there is ZERO chance I would buy this ball. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

The “a” is too fat, the “e” is way too pointy, the “b” is off, the “u” is too linear. For starters... But mainly the “e” in Babe is way way off. So let’s start there.

If you say so...Looks pretty typical to me.

I have to agree. The whole signature looks labored and the “be” looks terrible. The “e” has no flair and the whole signature lacks speed and flow. It wouldn’t surprise me if that ball was post 48 as well.

How would you know someone is 100% spot on unless you were there when something was signed. Please.

If you truly know Ruth’s autograph, this one is just off. Slight variances almost beginning to end.

And that is what I am asking for someone who truly knows the Ruth autograph to opine.

I’m the one who went out on a limb and pointed it out, so I just did opine...

I have to agree with Jason on this, Michael. No one can know whether I--or anyone else--is "spot on." All I can do is render an opinion based on experience. And I don't like this one.

Thanks David!!!! I am no fan of TPA's but I have never had a real issue with Beckett before. Why would this ball not throw up a red flag to them? Again David I have asked you a few times before buying a high dollar Yankee item or 2 and have always followed your advise on if I should purchase or not.
