Default Help Larry Doby Rookie - Real or Fake

Came across this locally. They are listed as original, but I haven't dealt with much vintage raw. Any idea if they are genuine or reprints/fakes? Wondering if I should take the risk. Thanks

I don't think your scans/photos are good enough to tell. If so, it's a nice card. Does the seller have any other 1949 Bowmans to compare it against? The rough edge cut looks authentic, but either your images are grainy or the card is a counterfeit.
Here is a real one to compare it against:

1949 Bowman - [Base] - Gray Backs #233 - Larry Doby [SGC 40 VG 3]

Just click on the card to go to the site and you can see a blown up image that will help you determine.

I thought the same thing. It looks off/fake to me but I don't want to conclude that if the OP can provide better scans first.

The card stock looks right, but the printed words/font look too thin (compared to my Doby). It could be the sharpness turned up on the image when edited. But either way, the bottom edge looks angled/miscut. I don’t think that would ever end up in a PSA holder, even if the card itself is authentic. Not sure if that is important to you or not.
