A few recent pick ups. My first CJ's. I'm glad I got the Crawford raw - I can't believe how thin it is. Just a piece of paper, basically. Makes me understand more about these cards and their condition-sensitivity.

New nikon/wifi upload;
Just rec'd this fair cond wirephoto of
DiMaggio, Ed Barrow and Lou Little. This is my first and I am
impressed by the airbrushing and crop marks directly on the photo.

Picked up a small group of M114s. Pictures cropped to save space but all measure exactly 9 1/2 x 12.

Picked up a couple of my favorite non-sport cards. The scarce N570 Kickapoo cards.
I also just heard back from SGC and this set will be added to their set registry today.
I only need one more for a complete set! (theres only 4 in a set )

Yes Steve , Ive given up on trying to figure out why they marked these down to a 40. They are both crease/scuff free, the Geranimo has a small brown spot on the back, thats it. If these are VG then Id love to see what a NRMT example looks like. In person they are even nicer than the photos show. They are the highest graded though, so I guess thats OK.

Nothing special for many of you, but unusual for a Lefty Grove collector. (These were both Christmas presents...)

A Christmas card from the Grove family. Looks like Lefty is pitching to a right-handed Babe Ruth with Johnny Peacock doing the catching... I'm guessing it was sent out sometime between the late 1930's and the early 1950's. Please email me if you have anything similar to this from other players...

I just picked up the Chase Orange Borders card to go along with my Matty Orange Borders.

Now that I have two, I guess I can consider it a 'partial set'

I took a chance and bought these in a raw lot for a very good price. I say take a chance because I'm always leery of cards this nice -- not the best at spotting trim jobs and such. But the guy said he bought them from the original owner in the 1970s. He paid $1 for the Cobb and 50 cents for Chance (wow!). In the end, he made a nice profit and I got some cards I otherwise wouldn't have been able to afford had they already been graded. Also in the lot are some commons that graded out at psa 6 (four of them), including two Old Mill backs. A a few PSA 5's. Don't have them in hand yet, but will post when I do. Sorry to go on, but probably the best deal I ever made. Very excited.

The card has a Napoleon back, right? Yet someone has covered over the "Napo" leaving just the "leon". Was that you or SGC?

I thought you may have done it to identify it in case the scan got swiped.
