Default MLB lost me when...

...they started throwing every ball out of play that touched the ground. Pathetic prima donnas.

It got worse with the idiocy of starting extra innings with a runner on second base.

But tonight while watching the 'Subway Series,' the announcers said the AVERAGE price of a ticket at Citi Field is $185. One hundred and eighty five dollars a ticket????????????????? What normal family can even afford to bring their kids to a game (and we're not even including all of the other mega-ripoffs like parking, food, souvenirs, etc.)?????? SMH

What in high F*CK has happened to baseball???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.

Players making 100s of millions of dollars each.

I went to a lot of Twins games from the mid 80s to 2000. You could buy cheap seats for $3 or $4 each. The best set in the house was $9 to $21 during that time. It was indoors 70 degrees and a game was going to be played. Now it is outside(BOOOOOO) they still have cheap $12 tickets. With the best seats at $112. I know some like outside baseball but when I have to drive 600 miles round trip I need to know weather won't cancel it or I have to sit is crap weather.

I used to get hamburgers for 50 cents and cokes for a nickel.

but, I'll never give up on the GAME.

I didn't like the ghost runners any more than I liked the initial 16-man pitching staffs, but I understood why they did it...to save arms.
Of course, if they hadn't had a lock-out, none of that would be necessary.

I'm not totally against defensive shifts because I think the hitters should be good enough to adapt and hit the other way...but the dollars are in the Homers, not the singles...thanks again George Herman.

As far as the millions the players are being paid: Which one of us would say yes if someone offered that to us?

I quit going to the local summer-college league because I could no longer stand the 'walk-up' music for every single batter, even when the team is playing horribly.

I watch MLB on TV, but don't live close enough to make an easy trip to see any...even the Braves, but I have another beef with them anyway.

Me and my son went to CitiField last month and I bought 2 upper level seats for $24 each and we had a blast.

Sky is not falling. Part 5000.

If you want to go see Yankees at Citifield you pay through the nose.

You want to see Bruce Springsteen or Elton John up close you pay thousands. Supply and demand.

I don't think you can treat the Subway Series like just another game. Yeah, you had to pay if you wanted to see A) a classic New York rivalry series at a time when both teams are first place; and B) what many people see as a possible preview to the World Series.

You can expect to pay a lot more if that World Series does come to be.
