Default Chuck Dressen Bat

I am curious what you guys can tell me about this - store model or pro (my guess is the former) and a ballpark for what you think it might be worth.

Length: 33"
Weight: 33.375 oz

Thanks in advance!

As I understand it, Spalding's Pro-Finish bats from that era (1926 +) are store model bats. I'm curious what others think it is worth.

It’s a store model.

Thanks Clint - what are tells? The 33 is stamped into the barrel end, not the knob, and is so small I wondered if maybe it was a later addition. I know usually inch marks point to store model bat, though not always.

More may be known about these bats today than in 2001, but back then Dave Bushing and Dan Knoll wrote: "After 1926, all pro model Spalding bats must have "Hand Turned" above the center brand. Don't be confused ... about "Case Hardened" and "Prof-Finish" bats that may have block letters on the barrel. All 'Pro-Finish' Spalding bats have block letter names on the barrel, and every example was a catalog perfect store bat."

Yep what Mark said. These were available in all the Spalding catalogs. Needs hand turned unless you have some undeniable proof the player used it. I haven’t been in the Spalding bats for awhile but would guesstimate value in the 150-250 range. Hall of Famers would be more. Neat bat and Spalding’s always had great deep stamping.
