Default Jackie Robinson Pin

Hi Guys:

NOT my area of expertise. I can pick up the below Jackie Robinson pin. I know NOTHING about them.

Is this vintage or a new repro? If legit an idea of value?

Any help/info appreciated

I'm no expert either, but I found this informative blog post about Jackie Robinson pins from 2013, and it shows yours. I'm curious who the author is (was?) ...

The author was the late Paul Muchinsky - very knowledgeable about pinbacks.

Fred,
That pin is good. its 1 3/4 inch in size. looks to maybe have a few spots on the front (small) and on a scale of 1-10 as in hard to find its about a 5-6 a good pin and yes an estimate on price would be 150-250. with no splits of cracks... Enjoy!

Looking at the Paul M. site that Chris noted above, it is not the same pin you referenced. Note, mine has part of the team name showing on his jersey the one you sent the sold link for does not. It was on Paul's list too, just a different pin.

There are two very similar versions with that image. One is large, and one small. You have the larger version, which I feel is more attractive. It is also rarer, and tends to sell for more than the smaller one. A nice item that is rarer than perhaps 75% of the Jackie Pins out there.

Thanks Mark.

I am going to try to acquire it.

Hi Guys:

I did end up acquiring this Jackie Robinson pin.

Just found this on ebay with only the pin not including the chain, glove and ball that comes with mine:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1947-I-039-...p2047675.l2557

According to Slabwatch it sold for $655.

I've had a few offers here on Net54 saying if I do get it what they would offer, but nowhere near what it sold for on ebay.

I guess this will be heading to Huggins and Scott unless I hear from someone who is serious very soon
