Default 1971 Topps Card dimensions

I've seen a thread about this before in archives i think, but can't find it. My question if anyone has any knowledge on card size dimensions beyond the 2.5"x3.5" card size. I've sent emails to PSA and Beckett, but i got the same response from both of them that card dimensions are 2.5"x3.5".

What i have are a number of cards from the 1971 set that the majority are more like 2 17/32" x 3.5".. just a hair over 2.5"... and i've got a handful that are exactly 2.5"x3.5"...

I've seen this in more than just the '71 set actually. I honestly can't tell if they've been cut..trying to inspect them under certain light, etc, and i'm not quite old enough to have pulled these from packs myself to know for sure. I've been thinking of getting them graded but don't want to waste money if they're gonna send em back as miscut, or tampered with. I'd much rather the former over the latter tho.

Sorry for the length..

Well this set along with the 71 BB counterpart is known for trimming to make it look more near mint. Also 71 FB cards had a large number of bad "rough" cuts. I remember buying them off the rack as a kid (I still have some of them as part of my 71 set) and some of them were OC and or with rough edges...but they are of the regular dimensions.... I'd be careful with sending in any loose ones for grading, compare it first with one you know is legit in terms of measurements.

this may support my hangup/obsession.. or maybe not. there's definitely some gap on one of the Bradshaw's.. i'm assuming its the same card holder for most/all standard cards 2.5x3.5.. i just don't want to accept i may have gotten bamboozled.. ..
