Default DAN+DEE cards....show them, if you got them

While searching thru my archives, I discovered this 1954 DAN+DEE Rizzuto card. My remainder of this 29-card set. It is not an easy set to complete
in nice condition. I sold (or traded) my DAN+DEE's back in the late 1990's.....except for Rizzuto.
Phil lived 2 blocks from us in Hillside, NJ (1940's to 1960's), when I was a young dude. He was a really friendly guy to all of us in the neighborhood.

I don't think much has been said, or shown, on this forum regarding this set. So, show us some cards, and tell us about your DAN+DEE's.

You might not believe this but I was working feverishly to get that posted before
Lucas00 because it’s the only Dan Dee I got 🙂

Years ago I worked on a set & picked up some companion pieces
like a large Dan-Dee potato chip tin & a vintage foil bag.
The set is long gone but I still have the pieces on display

Always loved the Dan-Dee set, I eventually would like to own the Mantle from the set. After I finish my run of his primary issues. I also know that the same photo for the Mantle, was used for his Briggs Meats issue.

Default Larry Doby

Hi George T.

Great looking DAN+DEE Larry Doby. Thanks for posting it.

Paige & Doby Photos from my 1948 Cleveland Indians Team Photo pack (25 photos) issued at the Stadium.

Both Doby and Paige started playing with Cleveland a couple days apart during the first week of July 1947.
Satchel Paige's start was on his Birthday (July 7th).

Anyone know the source for the alleged SP's (Cooper, Smith, and sometimes Thomas) in this set?

Do you recall any of Phil's daughter's? At our college baseball dinner in '70 or '71 one of my teammates brought one of his daughter's as his date. What a stunner!

The same guy was #2 pitcher on his high school team to #1 Al Santorini who later pitched in the bigs.

Freddie

I do recall Phil's daughter's, Patricia and Penny. You may be referring to Penny....as I remember, she was the more out-going one.

Take care, my friend.

Low grade it may be, but this is my lone Dan Dee. Hodges is one of my favorites. This card actually came into my possession today.

I should have said it better - I’m asking for the evidentiary basis for the claim that these cards are short printed, and the original source for the claim that they are. The numbers do not seem to indicate these are actually SP’d cards.
