Default If anyone here wins Goodwin lot 371, please let me know

Yeah, the auction isn't over yet, but with tonight's Powerball drawing going by without me being the big winner, I know my bid for this card won't hold up much longer ....

http://www.goodwinandco.com/1909-11-...-LOT26134.aspx

This is the third Hindu-backed Foster card I know of with Howe's stamp on the back. I own the other two, and found out about this card several weeks ago when a board member let me know he had found out about it and the owner was interested in selling. The asking price at that time was quite a bit higher than where the card is now, and my guess higher than the card will end up at. But having reached out to Bill a couple of times over the past week or so, and not hearing back, I know the card will go for more than I have available now.

If anyone here happens to win, I'd just like to be able to track the card's new home. Thanks.

I like to think little Howe is watching with a proud smile as you put his collection back together. If you don't win this one tomorrow hopefully it gets back home one day.

Howe had 3 of these? What a hoarder. Are there a lot of dupes with the stamp?

Default Yeah, Robert, Howe was a hoarder

Of the 243 cards I own, and the more than 60 others I know of, more than 60 are duplicates, and one of those cards (Red Ames portrait) he had at least four of, because I've found four of them.

Default Bill has reached out to me

and I thank him for his time, especially on the day the auction ends. Afraid we won't be able to make arrangements, but did want to acknowledge that he did contact me, and we had a very pleasant conversation this morning and I appreciate his time. Thanks, Bill.
