Default Cum Posey baseball or basketball card?

Does anyone know if Cum Posey had any contemporary (and individual) baseball or basketball cards or postcards? If not, is he pictured on any contemporary team issues or photos?

I have seen him in a few period baseball team photos, none of which I own, but not not frequently. I have not seen him in any basketball photos but that may well be because that is not my focus.

I do not believe that any individual cards or postcards of Posey exist. As Kenny said, he appears on a couple of contemporary baseball team postcards. For individual items, your only bet may be an autographed piece of correspondence, of which many are available as he was in an executive capacity for many years. Around 1930, Harrison Studios produced individual RPPC's of some of the Homestead Grays players, most are single surviving examples. An individual Posey could possibly exist but highly unlikely as he was not a player at that time.

Default Posey

I once owned this Cabinet of Posey from 1908-09. I am still shocked it sold for so little given that it's his earliest known photographic appearance of which I am aware. It pictures him with his teammates of the 1908-09 Homestead High School Basketball Team.

Here's a list of the known items of Posey:
  • 1908-09 Homestead High School Basketball Team Cabinet
  • 1913 Homestead Grays Team Photo Cabinet (at least 2 diff known - same photo / different mount)
  • c1930 Harrison Studio Homestead Grays Team Postcard
  • 1931 Homestead Grays Team Postcard
  • 1935 Homestead Grays Team Negro League Broadside Composite
  • 1988 Pittsburgh Negro League Stars
  • 2006 Yellow HOF Postcards
  • ...

Even the 1988 card has multiple players on it. The first individual card appears to be the 2006 Yellow HOF Postcard.

Please let me know if you know of anything else that could be added to this list.

I can think of two modern individual cards, there may be more. Been looking on and off for the 2016 myself with no luck, unless I buy a set which is not preferable.

2012 Panini Cooperstown Bronze History #70

2016 Panini Class of 2016 Hall of Fame Enshrinement #10 (Basketball)

...Always wondered why Posey never made the Laughlin sets.

Justin:

The Laughlin sets were based strictly on playing days of the guys, Posey’s excellence came as a manager/executive. That’s why Manley, Pompez and Wilkinson didn’t make them either.
