Default Tuesday Nite TRIVIA.....

Tonite's entertaining topic is Movie Stars. Time-out for a momentary respite from Baseball

This Movie Stars' TRIVIA is one which I originated about 30 years ago. It's in the form of two questions......

1....What do John Wayne and Janet Leigh have in common ?

2....Furthermore, what strange coincidence do John Wayne and Janet Leigh have in common ? ?

I expect the correct answer to #1 to be relatively easy.

However, no one has ever answered the 2nd question correctly, since I first posed this question 30 years ago.

There's a lot of smart people on this forum. Let's see who is the genius to answer the 2nd question correctly ? ?

John Wayne and Janet Leigh last name was both Morrison. I don’t know if that is your first or second question.

Hi Don

You answered the 1st question correctly.

Now, try for the 2nd one.

They had a lot in common. They both acted in films. They were both swell lookers. And neither of them was Chinese.

WOW !

We have a "genius" amongst us.

John Wayne was named Marion Robert Morrison at birth.

Jeanette Helen Morrison (Janet Leigh)....in her most famous (or infamous) movie, Psycho, her name was Marion.

A highly improbable coincidence....the combination of coincident last names, plus the same "first names".

"Genius" and "One 'ol Cat" travel in different social circles. I was kind of being a bit of a smart ass here. But you know what they say about blind squirrels....

Well, "smart ass" ..... you apparently did some smart research to come up with this correct answer of the name Marion being common to both
John Wayne and Janet Leigh's name in the movie, Psycho.

As I have said, I originated this quiz 30 years, and I have tried this quiz on many over the years without anyone coming up with the right answer.

Well, I KNEW John Wayne's given name was Marion. So, that is where I was coming from. Didn't know the Janet Leigh connection. I have seen "Psycho" many times. I couldn't have told you her character's name to save my life.

So their love child is not Jim Morrison, but Marty Marion? I'm so confused...
