Default Topps 1957 Mantle "Six" card panel...

Posted By: Iggy

This uncut '1957 panel' was lot #905 in last night's Huggins and Scott auction. Is this auction legit??? The seller is from New York and Huggins and Scott is based in Maryland. Any insight here from the board would be great...

Here is in the link from Huggins and Scott:

Lovely Day...

EDITED TO ADD THIS BRIGHT IDEA>>>

After thinking about it, I suppose the seller could have purchased the lot last night and is listing it even before he has possesion...

I am fairly sure that the seller of this 6-card Mantle panel is the same person that won the auction from us. He has not yet paid for it, nor does he have it in his possession, but I guess there is no harm in him listing it before that.

thanks,
Josh

Not saying this is the case, but.......... Sometimes people do this if they are short on funds and need to resell (presell) it again to pay for the first sale (H&S).
If he had already paid for it I wouldnt have a problem at all, but he is jumping the gun listing it so soon without actually owning it yet IMO

Cost him $488.75 from H&S last night + shipping, so at least $500 total; selling on ebay for $525. Doesn't seem like a good business plan.

There were other items in the Huggins and Scott listing. I'm guessing he won't get the $525 though, but you never know. Pretty cool item.

sagard - good eye - it's the exact same lot except that the 57 Mantle in VG was removed. Makes more sense now - picking up the single card he wants without having to pay out of pocket for it at all.

He also kept the 1960T Mantle. Two Mantles and cash is OK to me.
