Steve, that's a pretty damn nice card to have.

Thanks to Joe D for opening up the vault once again. Joe, your pale Chase is invited to a party at my place.

I'm not usually an M116 guy, but loved this image of Mr. Walsh
and it's not one you see to often from the set.
Thank You Peter......

Nice Matty, shouldn't SGC have graded that with the "Authentic" grade however and not a numerical one?

Jeff, I have a few of these Orange Borders cards and they've all been given numerical grades -- despite the fact that they were handcut. I know this has been discussed before on the board but haven't the grading companies taken inconsistent positions on this issue?

grading companies taking inconsistent positions? No, I refuse to believe that!

Very nice collection!

those are like orange daggers.

you are building a collection in a set I have since given up on (but still think fondly of).

with all of those sharp daggers coming at me -
I am left trying to defend myself with my lowly butter-knife....

Never underestimate the power of this board. You mention a week ago that you are now only one card away from completing a set and one falls in your lap to complete it. A little rough but a nice placeholder of an expensive and hard to find card. Thanks Alan S. and thank you Leon for keeping this board going and giving collectors a chance to fulfill their sets and dreams.

A few from the past several weeks:

I didn't even know this was postally used when I bought it (I don't ask b/c I don't care one way or the other). So I was pretty delighted to find the following first sentence of the message on the back:

"Dearest Esther, This is a horrid picture of me. I look like I had just had a terrible pain some place."

How COOL is that? I got a PC that was used by one of the people pictured in it. I wonder which one she was. Whoever she was, her name was Becky.

PC is Lone Rock WI team, from 1913.

This one is quite large - the image is maybe 6x8. I like it a lot even though it's generic, no team or uniform, etc. I think it reminds me of myself. Oh, and it has occured to me that this might actually be a boy and not a girl?

And finally this one. I'm not really sure what it is. I think it's a photo, but not sure. It's huge. Like 14x22 huge. Whatever it is, I like it.
