Very nice pickups so far... Mine will come in later this week, but I won't get the chance to post them then, so here goes:

Pre-War from Bagger's Auction:

Post-War: I received these from the winner of the Leland's Sal LaRocca collection:

(PSA Pop 6)

(PSA Pop 5)

I now have 5 of the 13 Bond Bread Jackie Robinson's... ironically, I still don't have the most common of the 13 (fasc. signature).

Noticed a new card shop opened in a small town today. Stopped and the guy had 90% new stuff, some 50-70's and just three tobacco cards. A trimmed American Caramel, a beater T206, and this one:

Fairly certain Skydash was a board member who consigned a large find, he originally came here under the pretense that it was his wife's late grandfathers collection. Some amazing t206s & tin tops. Google him and you can read the whole story.

The whole Skydash thing was kind of odd. I know the cards I have in Lionel Carter and Frank Nagy slabs will stay that way forever but I can't wait to crack and resubmit the cards I won in the "Skydash" collection

Not sure I understand. Why do you want to get rid of the Skydash slabs?

why not? he's not a hobby pioneer (or even a collector that cares anything about cards), just some dude that got lucky and cashed in.

Default Not an August Pick-Up, but...

I had this EPDG Chase slabbed...I'll likely move it since I got it for a pretty decent price and put it towards one in better condition...my real reason for posting though was because SGC graded on site in White Plains this weekend...what a great service to be able to offer. Hope they keep doing it...

Back image is from before it being slabbed...

Hey gang,

It's been a few years since I've poked my head into the net54 board. Anyways, I managed to track down a fairly decent card this month. Don't call it a comeback..

I picked up this Ruth beater recently. I think it looks good from looking at the Alterations FAQ for M101-5. However, can anyone else confirm?

It's GAI, and I think/hope GAI can still figure out authenticity at least, but the weird thing is that the cert # returned Cert Not Found at GAI's website. Obviously GAI has its issues, and I'm planning on crossing over the card to PSA or SGC fairly soon. The card has a tear in it, so it's very fragile, so I might have to go to BVG to get it holdered.
