Default The Difference between College Basketball and the NBA:

If you've been on an island for a while and had not noticed:

Last night Gonzaga beat UCLA 93-90 in overtime with a last-three seconds, 55 foot bank shot finishing off the best basketball game since...well, at least since Laetner beat Kentucky...IMO, this was better yet.

Meanwhile, here are some recent NBA scores:

Monday, March 29- Utah 114 Cleveland 75

Friday, April 2- Phoenix 140 Oklahoma City 103
Friday, April 2- Toronto 130 Golden State 77

Saturday, April 3 - New York 125 Detroit 81
Saturday, April 3 - Utah 137 Orlando 91
Saturday, April 3 - Portland 133 Oklahoma City 85

-just sayin'

I can't get into the NBA style of play, but I love college, and I'm a big Gonzaga fan! That shot was solid, Adam Morrison and Dan Dickau mythical level 10 stuff. Just fantastic. Spokane is going to go bonkers if they deliver a national championship.

I'm on the opposite side of the argument. No doubt one of the all-time great games though.

Agree

I have not watched a pro basketball game for at least 10 years.

But college - I can watch any 2 teams, men or women, any level anytime.

It's just more exciting.

College - you can take five steps before they call travelling, in the NBA, they never call travelling.

.
2005 Illinois- Arizona was better than both those. 14 point deficit with 3:20 left erased by Illinois to win in OT.

The biggest difference to me, coaching. In the Pros every contract dime is guaranteed in college only half. Can you imagine trying to get these guys to actually listen.
