there is a lightweight named Willie Clark who went 1-2-2 from 1889-1893, and he was from NYC. Maybe that's him? |

That card is a Victorian Trade Card circa late 1880's. Its called H804-19 Horizontal Brownies Series and there are 6 cards to the set according to the Keetz guide. Its a great find and a great steal at $3.00. |

In case you have not paid for the Cobb yet, It is a reprint with a polar beat back added to it, this is not an SGC holder, the reject slip had been put in a screwdown holder by the seller. |

Yeah i no its not a real holder. i no the seller vary well (fellow member on the board here) and he provided better scans. its real, but the scan makes it look fake. has scotch tape on most of the card, makes it look funny. i will scan it when i get it. If it was counterfeit, it would have been stated in the SGC package. thanks for the help though |

Why use an obscure sugar coated three letter code like ALT, when a clear four letter code is more to the point? FAKE |

I will agree. It appears that a previous owner did what he felt necessary to preserve an important card. His skills however, are about the equal of mine. |

was given ALT because it has tape and glue on it(corner was off at one point i bet) . it would be authentic if nothing wrong other than paper loss, creases etc etc. |

Oh I will admit T206King, that I am more thick than the average brick; but are you telling me that if I take an authentic card, add tape and glue to it, it becomes non-authentic? Altered yes, but still authentic, I would think. |

If I wanted to send in my Scrapps card that was torn in half and glued back together would SGC give it an Authentic "grade"? or would they not encapsulate it? |
