Sadaharu Oh's rookie card (1959 Doyusha JCM 30b)!

Been wanting one of these for a while (he has a lot of rookie cards).

Did a little write up about it here: https://baseballcardsinjapan.blogspo...okie-card.html

Nice Aarons!

Check out this 'Broder' I got at the National:

No idea what it is but whoever made it put some work into making it look nice.

I've always loved this Wilt The Stilt. Reminds me of my childhood days when the Knicks (whose entire starting lineup, mind you, became HOF'ers) would go to battle against the ridiculously talented Lakers and Celtics...

I love the 59 Brooks Robinson, I think its much nicer than his 57 or 58.

I got this 1959 Minoru Murayama Menko which arrived in the mail the other day. I'm loving the colors.

I think that whole haul was $100. I probably could do better with time and patience on eBay...but I do like to support my LCS.

Robert, remember I’m a Cubs fan. I don’t actively hate the Cardinals unless they are on a screen in front of me, but you don’t have to start with the reminders...;-)

It's real tough finding an Ozzie RC with that kind of decent centering. Well done.

Picked these up from a local card show. Need all three for my set, and I've been wanting to find a nice mid-grade Feller.

LOL, Darren - that was my card, enjoy. The qualifier “really killed it for you” huh?

Good deal. You bought it for exactly what I paid a few months ago...

Well, value-wise it does. Since I'm not looking to sell it or anything, it needed to be 'cheap' enough to make it worthwhile to pay that kind of money just to keep it for my set. Anything with a qualifier is simply never going to sell for what you think it should sell for. Tough line to walk.

Relax, I'm totally kidding you. I would have said the same thing in negotiating on a qualified card. It's valid reasoning. I was jabbing you more in the vein of the OC lover you seem to be on this forum, and then how you came across to me as a seller. ;-)

It's a wonderful card, I would have kept it but just have over-extended on some other stuff recently. The OC did not bother me at all.

It’s great that I have this wonderful LCS right under my nose here in my hometown, but damn I need to stop going there...

Two really tough variations (no yellow in winged logo, 'DI' in the sky)...

Those are awesome, John...congrats!

It's been a while since I've seen a local shop...sad.

Aside from centering, the corners and everything else are pretty nice, so I decided to take a gamble that the ST designation was nothing to worry about, and sure enough, it's just a phantom. You would never in a million years know anything was there, but if you stare at it in blinding sunlight under a magnifying glass with the card tilted, you can just barely make out some thin film where a piece of gum resided atop the Mick back in the summer of the Miracle Mets. A quick swipe with the pantyhose and this transparent residue 'stain' would be non-existent...

I’d crack it and shortly thereafter be asked by my wife what I needed pantyhose for...

Thanks Darren. I'm enjoying chasing cards I've always liked visually.
