Here's a new pickup. Rickey Henderson break's Lou Brock's all-time record with his 939th stolen base on 5/1/91 against the Yankees. Rickey was always a favorite of mine so happy to add this to the collection.

Finished my Phillies no-hitter collection a little while ago. Little chance I'll find any tickets to the team's other no-hitters (Ferguson 1885, Donahue 1898, Fraser 1903, Lush 1906) so I guess I'm done.

Does anybody know if any significant "fake" tickets are floating around? Any links to threads or internet articles on the topic?

I have no clue about tickets, but that looks pretty good. If I were to ever get into tickets, I'd definitely try to educate myself.

![]() In all seriousness, ticket collecting has been free of most of the fraud that's plagued other parts of the hobby for the most part. That being said, it's always a good idea to question anything that seems to be too good to be true. If in doubt you can always ask others on this board for advice. There is a lot of collective knowledge on net54. It blows my mind sometimes... |

I recently came across a couple of cool Mets ticket stubs that were buried somewhere in the vast accumulation of stuff that I call a "collection."
First is a stub from Opening Day 1983. This was Tom Seaver's return to the Mets after a few years with the Reds, or Redlegs as they were known for a few years in the 1950s. ![]() The other one is May 6, 1983 v. Cincinnati. This was Darryl Strawberry's Major League debut. ![]() |

Recently picked up this 1939 World Series ticket...After further reading on the game, I realized this was the last game Lou Gehrig spent in a Yankee uniform. He dressed, but didn't play this game due to his condition.
Planning to frame it soon with a photo from the game...

Very happy to add these two to the collection. Game 4 of the 1932 World Series (Babes last one) and Game 4 of the 1947 series. Love that the original owner added No Hitter to the Ticket even though the No Hitter was broken up with 1 out in the bottom of the 9th!

Just got this back from framing and I Love it , Framed are 2 1969 full opening game tickets , one is a bleacher ticket (Jonesville) and the other a $5 Box seat along the 1st baseline , also in the frame is a Autograph baseball card of every Expos Player that took part in this historic game including their field manager Gene Mauch , to complete the framing I included my 1969 Pocket schedule.I'm very happy how it came out ,this is now my centerpiece of my collection

Happy to add this unique complete ticket to my Koufax collection. Certain Brooklyn Dodger games from 1954-56 were designated as Elsie games, where youngsters 16 and under could send in 5 Elsie brand ice cream lids, bags or wrappers, plus 25 cents, and receive a grandstand admission ticket to Ebbets Field.
While the 2 parts of the ticket have separated, having both the admission and rain check sides is very unusual. And of course, the topper is that this was a ticket for Sandy Koufax's first win, a complete game shut-out in which he struck out 14. front for net54.jpg back for net54.jpg Rick
