Verdict is in on the Tim Horton Autograph
No good. Beckett declined it as well, just don’t have the letter back from them yet. Sad part is seller knows it didn’t get authenticated and it’s relisted now.AC55FF24-B8FA-456E-AD2C-0DEFEDC3BF9B.jpg

So a "Grader" who only offers an "opinion" says it may not be real.
I guess that's a definitive verdict.

3 different authenticators has to be fairly conclusive.

Wow. I would have stopped after the first rejection. I’m guessing that’s well over $100 in authentication fees.

Can you name an authentication service that offers more than an "opinion" on items it authenticates?

He’s just a “poster” on a “message board” posting his “opinion” about authentication services. I would think 3 rejections would be enough to convince me.

Pretty sure I covered this the first time for free. This is the problem when you want to convince yourself it’s real.

Jason: I really appreciate your feedback and took note of your comments. I was not “trying to convince myself it was real”. I was however trying to protect the money I spent on the card. I have 55 of the 100 cards in the 1953 Parkhurst Set signed. I have been working on this set for 23 years and have never seen the Horton. I took a calculated risk on the card and figured I would have to spend a couple hundred bucks on authentication fees. I originally posted it here and had 2 comments on its authenticity. You thought it was not legit and one other poster thought it might be good. I didn’t want it part of my signed set w/o one of the accepted authentication services giving it the thumbs up. I know the authenticators are not the end all be all and it’s only one persons opinion. Just a guy here trying to protect his initial investment in the card. Thanks.

Is this the card on ebay for $799 right now? Seller is telling me he has no idea it's failed.

Yes it’s relisted. I highly doubt he doesn’t know it failed. All I can say is there are 2 letters saying otherwise and it’s relisted.

No offence was meant, in any way.
