Default What is a good/typical price of a 1933 Goudey Ruth/Gehrig?

Looking to add both of these to my collection- prefering a slabbed authentic/ 1 of each- how much should I be prepared to spend? What's a good price? Does anyone have these for sale in these conditions?

Thanks
Stefan

I think you could find low grade but presentable gehrig for 700-1000 and ruth for 900-1200.

I'd recommend either getting a day subscription here http://www.vintagecardprices.com/

or you can check out http://www.cardtarget.com/

Good luck!

I was able to get both of these beauties for less than $1,000 combined. Deals are out there even though my Ruth isn't exactly a 33 Goudey.

If you opt for WWG instead of Goudey...you will save some $$$$$. In my opinion it is not unreasonable to find both a ruth and gehrig in A/1 condition for around 1K total...give or take a few hundo. Be patient...these cards are pretty common!

Yea, I just want a Ruth Playing Days card (that is national issue), WWG will work perfect! That's just like Goudey's O-Pee-Chee- right?

Yeah it's a Canadian Goudey. I got both of my cards within the last 5 years. The Gehrig came from a Memory Lane eBay auction. I think people were turned off by the grade and didn't even look at the card. It's gorgeous.

Yea, that's a "pretty" PSA 1!

you can get R310 butterfingers of both ruth and gehrig for less than $500!

If you opt away from goudeys there are lots of ruth's and gehrigs that can be had for less...and they are scarcer cards.

I do realize this, I just do not like how big the Butterfingers are! I am also a big fan of the Goudey style (and closer to "standard" size!)

I always thought the Kashin Ruths and Gehrigs were really nice cards too. You might want to check them out. They look like big premiums in photos but they're actually pretty small.
