I have to agree. The "orange" could be from fading or simply a printing anomaly. In my opinion, only true variations should be noted on the label, otherwise there'd be a deluge of similar (silly) designations within the T206 series. |

I don't know how everyone else does it, but I determine something's color by its color. It's hard for me to fault SCD because they labelled something that is orange as orange, instead of red. |

Your point is valid, and if you or Elliot don't think the card is orange you shouldn't call it orange. There will be slight variations in color to many T206s where the color can be reasonable debated. |

This is similar to the Ken Griffey Jr 1989 Upper Deck Purple hat variation controversy a while back. However, in the long run, Beckett refused to acknowledge it's existence and few bring it up today. Personally, I think it's nothing more than a faded ty cobb portrait. Check this card out: |
