Default Value assistance with Mickey Cochrane autograph

Hello-
I’m looking for some help on an approximate autograph value. I have someone interested in buying an SP Legendary Cuts card that I have of Mickey Cochrane. The signed card is from the 2007 series (numbered 7/7).

Today I did a quick check on eBay and found 10 Mickey Cochrane autographs for sale:
-- Seven PSA/DNA cut signatures ranging in BIN prices of $400-500;
-- One signed newspaper (?) photo, complete with LOA from the recently-discussed Mr. Priddy (ACE), with a BIN of $999;
-- One SP Legendary Cuts card from 2003 with a BIN of $3950;
-- One SP Legendary Cuts card from 2007 (same as my card) with a BIN of $2575.

I’m very uneducated in this area, but I really don’t see how the seemingly outrageous BIN prices for the SP cards can be accurate. I know people sometimes jack up the BIN prices to see if anyone will bite, but these seem way out of line to me.

I’ve been offered $600 for my card, and I think that seems reasonable, but I would like to get a decent idea before I sell it. Should I ask for more? The thought occurred to me to put it on eBay to see what happens, but I’ve never sold on eBay before and really don’t want to take the time to mess with it.

Thanks for your thoughts.

If you are willling to take $600.00, put it on ebay with a BIN of half of the $2500 one that you saw on ebay. And take offers.

Joe

Default $600.00 for a Mickey Cochrane signature cut . . .

.

. . . is more than generous. In my humble opinion, decent Cochrane signature cuts can be had (with some time and searching) for $150 +/-.

But . . . since what you have is a manufactured collectible, I can't speak for what the market is bearing for this type of item.

What would you do with $600 if you took the offer? Is there some other item(s) you'd love to spend that $600 on, rather than hold on to a collectible that has limited appeal to you? But I understand that you don't want to leave too much cash on the table if your card could realize substancially more $$$ in your pocket. Hmmmm. . . sometimes tough to make a decision.
