Default Autographs in old notebooks: Show and Ask

New guy here. I've reacquainted myself with my childhood enthusiasm for baseball card collecting due to the pandemic. Of course this is the autograph forum, so that's all I'll say about that.

My great-uncle and father spent their childhoods collecting autographs and other memorabilia in marble notebooks. In both cases, autograph collecting took place directly on the pages of the notebook, as cuts, and on baseball cards, which had either already been glued to the notebook or were subsequently glued in there. My great-uncle's time spanned from about 1934-1941, whereas my dad did his work from about 1956-1965.

Given that these notebooks are pretty old, I'm trying to figure out how best to preserve the contents within. While there's all sorts of things online about how to best preserve autographs, I thought I'd ask the hive mind here, since you folks seem to know what you're talking about. Am I better off trying to keep everything together or should I take cuts of some of the bigger names and go from there?

I suppose it wouldn't be a post in the autograph forum if I didn't ask for opinions on authenticity, particularly for these three guys (what, no Mantle?!). As much as I trust my great-uncle and father, you never know, particularly in light of Roberto Clemente's later autograph history. Thanks for reading and for any insights you may have.

I don't have an answer for you, besides keeping the notebooks in "boards/bags" like comic books, but if it were me I would also scan each page so that I could enjoy them without having to handle them.

The Ted Williams is a rubber stamp, I'm afraid.
