Default coming down to the wire with Mastro and REA

Posted By: leon

So far I am high on 4 lots of the 123 I bid on in Mastro and am high on 5 of the 54 I bid on in REA....I will have to catch up to Barry's in a few days but know I put in several bids there too. At this rate I might get shutout!!! How are you looking so far? I am not sure any of my current highs will hold up.....

Great. Now Jim knows that I'm bidding on all of those high grade 1975 Topps Minis. Just wonderful.

Still in the ballpark on some lots in each auction but the chances of a shutout are probably looking strong. It just depends if the early flurry of bidding translates in to late bidding in some form, we'll see.

It is often hard to predict which ones will stall out where they are and which will triple in price on the last day.

With Mastro and REA both closing over the next five days, my auction has taken a short snooze. I look forward to having people a little more focused after the two big ones are done.

I too have about 10-12 bids in each one, but don't expect to get more than a few.

What is Mastro? I hadn't heard of this before. Thanks for the tip, now I'm all over those Topps Minis.

I am only winning two bids in REA, and one is SURELY not going to hold. I figure by having a bunch of lowball estimates, I can choose to focus in on one card or so that is still undervalued when the auction is closing.

I think there are some folks that don't know the economy is struggling. At this point I really wonder if I will be spending any money at all. Not high on anything for this evening so far. The auction houses should be happy with the prices I am seeing so far.....should be some interesting closing prices. regards

leon - I agree prices are very strong. Between REA and Mastro I'm still in on 5 lots.

You know if I took out "buy me that" and replaced it with "shake my" .....it would pretty funny....

Prices on most lots are incredibly high already. I can't imagine much more bidding action in the extended hours.

Dan,

I would buy you the Wagner if I didn't waste all my money on those worthless Four Base Hits cards from Leon and those Alphas
