Default Card Grading

Posted By: Adam Gordon

I have about 10 cards that I want to get graded. about 4 tobacco cards and a few cards from the 1950s and 3 cards from the 1980s. What is my best bet? Should I join PSA or do SGC or Beckett. Please let me know. I don't really know much about it!

Thanks,

Adam

Default Card Grading

it boils down to whether you want to resell them or keep them. If it's resale, go with PSA. If you are keeping them, go with SGC if you like their holders better than PSA's, which most people do.

I love pinatas. You get to beat the crap of something and get rewarded with candy.

Default Card Grading

Since on the subject of grading, i have a nice 62 Mantle but has writing on the back, small like a signature. How much is a card marked down for that, and do all the big companies mark the same for that downgrade(I know PSA has qualifiers)

No time like the present to introduce yourself to the folks at SGC and ask them any question you like. They are prompt, courteous and professional. Oh, and they have the most consistent vintage grading with the best looking holders available.

You can speak with an SGC customer service representative at 1-800-SGC-9212.

For general customer service questions, just e-mail Scott Hersh at shersh@sgccard.com.

For grading questions, you can e-mail senior grader Bob Luce at rluce@sgccard.com. I have found him extremely personable, knowledgeable and friendly.
