Here's a matching baseball currently on ebay, that is listed as from 1939:
Also, there was an Ed Clement who played for the Savannah Indians from 1939-1941 (bottom signature in your fourth picture above). The 1939 Savannah Indians had players named Jim Gravin and possibly a Harry Johnston. Jim Gravin was also with them in 1940, along with a Jerry (or Jerome) Tiemann. Also, an Eddie Rose was with them in 1939 and 1940. Baseball-reference.com is a good source. Steve
