Here are a couple other jackets that I don't believe I've posted previously...

Cal Ripken Sr. from c1991:

Bill Ripken Charlotte Orioles from 1986 (Bill & Cal Jr. would often ID their items by writing RIP on them):

Default 1985 Orioles vs. Hagerstown Suns program

Good morning,

I recently picked up at a flea market this program from when the Orioles played their then-affiliate Hagerstown Suns in 1985. It has been signed by Rick Dempsey and Dennis Martinez. Nice photos of Cal and Eddie are in the program as well.

Was going through my game used Orioles hat collection earlier today and ran across a few I forgot I owned....

With Opening Day less than a week away here are a couple OD hats from 2004 (BJ Ryan & a signed Jorge Julio):

Totally forgot about this c1998 Harold Baines signed game worn hat with family member's names written under the bill:

Cool photo of Brooks I saw on ebay. Shows their 1963 Home Uniform used only for a year.

I personally really liked the “B” on the hat and the block letter jerseys. I think they should still use them for an alternative, but not the norm. I’m a fan of “all” the combos since the inception in ‘54.

Default RIP Hobie Landrith

Hi everyone,

Mr. Landrith passed at 93. Not only did he sign a card for me but he stated that Robin Roberts was by far his favorite pitcher to catch.

Is that the same poster? If so it looks so much better with I assume foam core and framing. Now, let’s see how you have it displayed.

Default Oriole Memorial Stadium Row Marker

Does anyone else collect Memorial Stadium Row Markers? I have a few but missing the big one (#5). These make very nice displays. If anyone wants to sell or trade #5 keep me in mind.

They do really look nice displayed. I don’t really collect them, but would eventually like to pick up the O’s HOF #’s which I would believe to be in higher demand.

Thanks Mike...Hobie is probably best known for being the first player the Mets chose in the expansion draft prior to the '62 season & was then traded straight up to Baltimore in June of that season for Marv Throneberry.

Signed Polaroid, CA. 1970.

Unfortunately not sure where it was taken, looks like possibly a bar.

We've all signed our credit card receipts loosey-goosey like that after being a bit over-served at the bar. Just saying.

Is it dated 1963 on the photo ? My guess would be 1964.

Not many photos with Brooks wearing the one year “B” on the cap. Of course I may be in the minority, but I also really like the block letter Orioles on the jersey as well.

Pretty excited to get a phone call about this uniform showing up at my local card shop. Kansas of all places. It’s a 1986 top, hat and socks of old timer Bob Boyd who lived in Wichita. The pants are Dennis Martinez’s. I met Bob and got his autograph as a kid so I’m a happy camper.

Here's a super neat original photo I got yesterday. A kid with some 1961 Topps MVP and all stars. Brooks is on top!

The photo is stamped Aug 14 1961.

I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to attend Brooks' memorial service yesterday morning at Camden Yards. It was a beautiful day to honor a truly beautiful man...(BTW for those who couldn't attend, it's available on YouTube).

RIP Brooks.

over the past week or so I've seen quite a few neat Brooks related things on social media...

this obviously isn't mine, but saw this on Instagram yesterday & thought members here would enjoy seeing it as well:

Glad that some of you guys were able to attend the Brooks memorial service. Of course I would have liked to as well, but was unable to make the trip. I did watch it and was a very nice gesture.

Would have liked my hero to go on forever but it’s not meant to be. I’m still saddened and don’t really like to think about Brooks’ passing. He’ll surely be missed…

Being in town for the ALDS game, I stopped by the Babe Ruth Birthplace on Sunday as I had seen on social media they had they opened a new exhibit dedicated to Brooks the day prior...

Things that I enjoyed the most were the game used jerseys, his very first first MLB contract from 1955 that was signed by both Brooks and his father (Brooks was only 18 at the time) and the original artwork from the cover of the Orioles 1983 media guide:

Default Baltimore Orioles License Plates

Day 85 – 26 March 2024
I really enjoy the Oriole license plates. Today, I am showing you some from the 1954 season (top), 1966 WS Champs and I think the black block letter version is from the 1950s/60s. The top two are 12 inches long while the smaller black one is about 6 inches or so. These make great displays, are not easy to find and can be pricey. I am always looking for the orange thinner “It can be done in 61” license plate. I know of two out there but can’t convince them it would look better on my wall than theirs. Ha! Is anyone aware of a license plate for 1969, 1970 or 1971 WS? I will show other plates tomorrow.

Default Baltimore Orioles License Plates

Day 86 – 27 March 2024
As a continuation of yesterday, here are some license plates from recent years. The top one I like because it is still in the original packing material. This one is about 6 inches long and I think from the 1980s or 1990s. The middle one is a favorite celebrating our 1983 WS championship. It is 12 inches long. The bottom one I think is from the 1990s or so and measures 12 inches. Has anyone seen a plate for 1979 WS?

You have some great looking displayable O’s items. Of course you “need” this example; hopefully the other person will give it up 😎.

Day 88 – 29 March 2024
Today I am showing you my 1971 Brooks Robinson Salesman Sample with pants along with some other items I will address over the next few days. I was lucky to find the Salesman Sample recently and am very happy with it. It is a Rawlings double knit, size 44. I believe it was for the 1971 WS and with the same collection is a uniform for Rennie Stennett from the Pirates. The jersey has a flat cut tail with B. Robinson on the back along with #5. The first initial was due to Frank Robinson being on the team but not for long as he was traded after the 1971 season. This would be the first year for the Orioles wearing a knit uniform. The pants have a zipper fly with pockets in the back. They are pretty small.

Day 89 – 30 March 2024
Along with the Salesman Sample, you will see a custom made helmet I had made with the bill shaved down and the old Bird. I was fortunate to find this and later had Brooks sign the top of the bill along the orange. It looks nice displayed. I would love to find an original.
